PVU:PVP - A New Reign
Seasonal Mode is now renamed to Ranked Mode. All MMR will be reset when Season 1 ends.
Normal Mode will be temporarily closed for improvements and will return in future updates.
New Offering will be available for everyone on 2022, Jan-26.
Introduce a new token: Battle Points (BP).
These BPs can be exchanged to FPVU (100 BPs = 1 FPVU).
Winning games in Ranked Mode reward BPs.
The amount of rewarded BPs depends on the winner’s NFTs used in the game.
Introduce a new plant’s attribute: Nature’s Blessing.
Plants with high/low/no value of Nature’s Blessing provide more/less/no BPs per win.
NFT plants from New Offering have high Nature’s Blessing value.
NFT plants from Old Offering and Minted-plants have low Nature’s Blessing value.
Cloned plants have no Nature’s Blessing value.
Introduce a new plant’s attribute: Endurance.
Only NFT plants from New Offering have Endurance value (default value = 2). These plants will also have Unlimited Durability.
The Endurance value will be reduced by 1 per win in Ranked Mode.
Plants with Endurance value = 0 can still be used to play the game, but no longer provide BPs on that day.
Everyday, the Endurance value will be refreshed at 0:00 UTC.
Note that NFT plants from Old Offering, Minted-plants don’t have Endurance value, so they will not be affected.
Assets re-work: Fragments.
New Fragments are no longer dropped after winning a game.
New Fragments can only be received when NFT plants from Old Offering and Minted-plants are burned.
Current Fragments can still be traded, crafted.
With the new coming updates, the in-game Economy System will play an important role which has a big impact on the game result. Other in-game activities like planting plants, spawning undeads, using skills… will heavily depend on the strength of your economy.
Although the system is simple to understand, its mechanics create lots of different strategies that you can apply to strengthen your economy, or weaken your opponent’s economy. It is crucial to understand these economic strategies for your advantages.
*Note: the in-game currency is now called GE (Growth Energy), and is the only currency we used in the whole document. These GEs are only used in gameplay, and are NOT related to BP, or FPVU.
Income per wave:
‘Simple, stable, predictable’.
You will receive an amount of GE at the beginning of each wave, instead of earning from killing undeads. This change makes it easier for you to control your income, and also to plan your next moves.
Initial GE: 400 GE.
Base Income per Wave: 100 GE.
‘Save more, earn more'.
Profits Interest will reward you with bonus GE at the beginning of each wave. The amount of the bonus GE equals to a percentages of the total GE you are holding at the end of the previous wave.
Although this mechanic only provides a small amount of additional GE per wave, holding it for several waves can bring a big difference, and a a game changing condition.
Profits Interest Rate: 10%.
Undead Income Bonus:
‘Spawn more, earn more’.
For each undead you spawn, your GE income per wave will permanently increase. The additional amount equals to a percentage of each Undead Spawn cost. This mechanic works as a long-term investment, so you need to calculate carefully since any action will make a big impact later on.
Undead Bonus Income Rate: 15%.
All plants now have the same cost when you plant them. The plant upgrade cost will gradually increase for all plants though.
Plant Initial Cost = 100 GE.
Plant Level 2 Upgrade Cost = 200 GE.
Plant Level 3 Upgrade Cost = 300 GE.
Plant Level 4 Upgrade Cost = 400 GE.
MotherTree Level 2 Upgrade Cost = 300 GE.
MotherTree Level 3 Upgrade Cost = 500 GE.
MotherTree Level 4 Upgrade Cost = 700 GE.
Undead Spawn Pricing:
All undeads now can be spawned using GE. The cost of each undead spawn will remain the same during the game.
Undead Giant Snail = 20 GE.
Undead Giant Turtle = 50 GE.
Undead Giant Wolf = 40 GE.
Undead Giant Butterfly = 40 GE.
Undead Giant Sheep = 100 GE.
Undead Dinosaur = 1,000 GE.
