Welcome back to our 3rd weekly update for Farm 3.0.
Last time we have gone over the overall mechanics of gathering; this time, we will dive into one of the 3 main minigames of gathering: Foraging.
When choosing gathering route, this icon indicates it is the Foraging minigame:
The foraging minigame is the most relaxing out of the 3 minigames. When you start this minigame, a grid map with an isometric view will show up. Each tile of the map can either spawn a tree or a special root. Your job is to tap on the tree you want to chop, and after a certain number of taps, the tree will fall and provide you with one of the 3 random materials: root, bark, or log. Each material can be one of the three rarities:
Common (green)
Uncommon (blue)
Rare (Red)
However, if your foraging level is high enough, you can chop a special root that will drop treasures that contain exciting rewards!
The more trees you chop, the more experience you gain for foraging, and the higher your forage level. Higher forage levels will allow you to chop trees in fewer swings and can even provide extra wooden materials, which are essential for upgrading the capability of other activities and upgrading your farms.
Lastly,
seasons and weather events also affect your foraging (this part will be expanded in a future weekly update about seasons and weather), so you need to plan your gathering accordingly.
