Welcome back to our 4th weekly update for Farm 3.0.
We hope you have time to absorb some information regarding foraging; this time, we will dive into another minigame: mining.
When choosing gathering route, this icon indicates it is the Mining minigame:
The mining minigame is meant to be the middle ground between the 3 minigames in terms of difficulty. The goal of this minigame is to mine as many rocks as possible within the time limit. The bigger the rock, the more materials they drop. However, the smaller rock would produce rarer materials and higher chance of treasure.
In this minigame, players will control a “drill” that swings from left to right like a pendulum in the center of the map. Players must release the drill at the right moment for it to shoot in the direction of a rock. If the drill miss, it will retract quickly. However, if it hits a rock, it will bring the rock back to the player and reveal its content. The bigger the rock, the slower the retraction speed.
Similar to foraging minigame, the more rocks you mine, the more experience you gain for mining, and the higher your mining level. Higher mining levels not only increase players’ time limit for mining but also allow access to powerful skills that will help players mine a lot more effectively. Materials received from mining will be used for upgrading your gathering capability overall and other important functions, which will be explored in further blog posts.
And that is it for this weekly update. Next time, we will investigate the final and most challenging minigame in gathering, so stay tuned!
Thank you for reading thus far, and we will see you next week.
